A while ago my local 4x4 group went to help a fellow out of a mud hole, he was 'bogging'.
We frown on it but helped him out anyways, we were
going to take him on a proper trail run after. 3 jeeps triangulated on him to yank
him out of the mud pit with 3 WARN M8274 winches. After setup, he was yanked out
very quickly. Now it was time to leave.. unfortunately this fellow decided that he would
make another run at it, he got to close to the river bank and it crumbled. Over into the
river he went. We normal might have left him there but he was
leaking gas etc into the river which is an environmental risk. We used 4 jeeps for a
combined approx 32,000 lbs pull triangulated onto this full sized blazer to pull him out.
It was quite the spectacle. The day was shot unfortunately this took us about 5
hours all told. We did however get to witness an interesting lesson in recovery.
