| | Duties & Responsibilities: | Manages all aspects of the WARN Supplier Partnership program for assigned global supply chains & other procurement and sourcing initiatives as a lead representative of the buying community of WARN. Negotiates& executes agreements for primary goods & services. Conducts product cost analyses, value analyses, make vs. buy, & tracking of global procurement cost inputs and economic indicators to maximize profit contribution and support working capital objectives. Works on new product development & launch programs with key existing and newly developing suppliers. Conducts site visits to evaluate supplier capabilities. Understands all of WARN systems related to purchasing / planning / scheduling. Has a working understanding of international procurement, transportation management, and the legal aspects of purchasing. May direct efforts of lower level Buyers/Planners and team members to assure successful completion of objectives.
| | Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or related field. Certified Purchasing Manager Certificate or CPIM Certificate preferred. Ten or more years of experience in all phases of global purchasing within a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Working knowledge of Word and Excel and ability to effectively problem-solve. Some travel by car and plane required.
