I was hunting white tail with a friend of mine two years ago this December, he was
cold and decided to go to the truck and get warm. He asked if he could use my
Grizzly and I said yes. He was backing up and didn't see the small maple tree
behind him and hit it hard enough to push my rear rack in about two inches. We finished
hunting that day with no luck and after returning to the truck we decided to try to pull the
rack out using Mother Nature and my winch. We tide off the rack to a large tree using a
tow strap and a burlap bag and the other end we pulled about three feet of cable out of
my winch and attached it to the hitch on my truck. We started winching and after a
minute or so realized the rack was not moving but instead my truck was dragged
about twelve to fourteen inches. I always hear guy's say you need the biggest winch
possible on their ATV's, and I laugh and figure they must not be using a Warn winch. I also
use my Warn winch along with my Warn plow in the Lake Erie snow belt. We average 100
plus inches of snow a season and neither has ever let me down. I wouldn't buy
anything else but a WARN.
